How can I help?

About Me
Teacher | Tutor
After 20 years in K-8 classrooms, I was ready to do something different, but I knew I still wanted to work with kids and parents. I just wanted to do it in a new way! I work with students one on one and in small groups to give them the gift of space and time that is so often hard to find in full classes of students with diverse needs.
My goal as an educator is to help students connect to their innate desire to learn through building efficacy, strengthening relationships, modeling life-long learning, and providing meaningful instruction.
How can I help?
Is your child:
falling behind academically a little or a lot?
getting by, but seems to be missing something?
not meeting benchmarks or grade level standards?
lacking motivation or interest in learning?
believing they are not competent or don't like a subject?
Your child may need:
more one-on-one time than classroom teachers have to give.
individualized reteaching based on their learning style.
confidence to become a more independent learner.
Is your child:
struggling with organization and attention?
not reaching their potential?
having trouble starting or completing homework or projects?
Your child may need:
support and scaffolds for executive function skills like working memory, focus, task initiation, planning/prioritization, organization, time management, flexibility, and stress tolerance.
homework help without meltdowns and battles.
support with organization and assignment completion.
